Do Robert’s Rules and other procedural issues hinder you from participating in Presbytery or at GA?  Learning the basics is surprisingly simple.   I created a script for my own use as Moderator of James River several years ago:

Moderator Scripts and Rules Guide

When you look over Robert’s Rules of Order there are only a few basic motions you need to keep track of where things are and how to navigate debate.  The attached is not at all comprehensive but gives the basic form for the morst popular forms as well as some guidelines for their use.

I encourage you to try by doing.  Presbytery is a great place to learn how to put the rules into motion so you might be prepared for participation at the General Assembly.  Once you gain some confidence that you’ll be able to form motions properly and keep up with deliberations then you’ll be able to relax and participate more fruitfully in deliberations.
